LSUMC Code of Conduct

Members must treat each other with courtesy and respect. Disparaging remarks, insults, and any form of harassment will not be tolerated.

LSUMC welcomes members of all backgrounds and experiences. Be kind and share knowledge with others.

Members shall abide by any applicable laws, byelaws, and guidelines of the LSU and local laws. Particular attention is given to The Road Traffic Act (Latest)

Members must ask for permission before using other’s tools or to work on someone else’s vehicle.

Maintain the condition of tools by cleaning them (brake cleaner). Replace tools where they belong. Dispose responsibly.

Use tools as directed and take all steps to avoid unsafe, volatile, risky practices.

All members must comply with local traffic laws and regulations during club events or gatherings. Reckless driving, speeding, and putting passengers at risk are strictly prohibited.

No passenger should encourage reckless driving or inappropriate behaviour. Do not obstruct the driver’s view or distract them.

Members must be observant and cautious at all times during group drives. Key points to take note of are:

· Following distances should be kept appropriate at all times (preferably the minimum being 2 seconds from the car in front, wet conditions require 4 seconds).

· Corners on unknown roads should be taken with increased caution, especially in wet conditions.

· Be mindful of others when parking and proceed with caution.

· Watch out for signs of fatigue as it can hinder perceptiveness. Its better to stop for a break than to cause an accident.
